This role put me in charge of the software development team at the Digital Corps. I was tasked with expanding our team, making decisions regarding which technologies and frameworks to use, and mentoring new and existing employees.
- Mentored and directed a team of over a dozen student employees
- Designed and implemented a training program used to acclimate new employees to existing systems and promote capability
- Migrated existing infrastructure to Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure

Software Developer
Ball State University May 2010-2014
As a software developer in the Emerging Technologies department I was responsible for architecting and implementing various software applications. I worked across the app ecosystem ranging from web frontend and backends to iOS and Android apps.
- Developed a web application for the Indiana General Assembly's paperless initiative
- Built Ball State's first android application the original BSU Map App
- Assisted in the development of an educational game to teach life-skills to children in developing nations
- Crafted a custom test assessment platform for courses offered by the department

Founder and Manager
Squiggle Development LLC February 2015-2017
I founded my own business to work on various projects. For me this was a crash course in entrepreneurship, and gave me experience managing a business, handling accounting, hiring independent contractors, and business tax concerns.
- Managed the many needs of a new business while keeping the development of our first project release on track as the lead software engineer
- Released the "What I Charge" WordPress plugin that allowed potential customers to generate service price estimates
